RECORDING
Studio Glasfågeln is the perfect place to record acoustic music. Here you’ll find several great-sounding
rooms, fine instruments, and not least the recording equipment and expertise to capture it all.
We usually work by having the musicians play together live, to capture the interplay and energy, while
making use of the different rooms to still keep the instruments separated. We primarily work with jazz,
folk music, song and neo-classical music — but are of course curious about all kinds of music.
We usually start with a meeting to talk about what’s going to be recorded and what ideas we have about sound and recording. This can be done in person, by phone or by email. Feel free to send over any previous recordings, if you have any.
Typically the recording equipment will be set up by the time you arrive, so we can get started with soundcheck fairly quickly. Working days are normally 6 hours on the first day and 7 hours on subsequent days, with a latest end time of 6 pm. When recording at the studio, there is usually the option for you to record without me outside of these hours.
Mix & MASTER
We can help you with mixing and mastering your music — both music recorded here and music recorded
elsewhere. Always with a focus on the music itself, bringing out the energy and the organic qualities in
the sound.
We count one working day as 6 hours of work.
Residence
The studio is perfectly suited for residencies, rehearsal periods or similar. Fully equipped accommodation
and a calm, beautiful and creative environment. Available to rent with or without recording equipment,
depending on your needs.
FILMING
Beyond audio recording, we can also help with simpler video production, typically in the form of
live-in-the-studio films.
Portable recording
We also have a portable recording rig, giving us the ability to record concerts or in other venues. Both a larger rig with many capabilities based at the studio, and a fully portable battery-powered rig for outdoor recordings and similar.

Piano tuning is an additional cost if an acoustic piano is to be used, approximately 2,500 SEK. The session needs to be booked at least one month in advance to ensure we can find an available piano tuner.
(If a recording is booked less than two weeks in advance, I will need to invoice for 20% of the total cost.)
